How a Bilingual Engineer Who Rebuilt Her Career Twice Found Her Path With DOXA Franchising in Frisco and Plano

Ivette Garcia has rebuilt her career more than once. As an immigrant who has navigated new industries, new systems, and new beginnings, she understands something about resilience that most business owners only read about. She has lived it.

Her background is in engineering, with 20 years in oil and gas, project management credentials earned across industries, and an entrepreneurial chapter that ended when the FTC shut down the platform she had built her e-commerce business on. That experience, she says, did not discourage her. It sharpened her.

"When you trust your purpose and own what makes you different, doors begin to open that you couldn't see before," Ivette says. "For me, DOXA is one of those doors, a place where my resilience, vision, and heart for people can create lasting opportunity."

When the Franchise Brokers Association introduced her to DOXA's recurring revenue model, something clicked. Not just because the numbers made sense, but because the values did.

A Model That Aligned With How She Already Thinks About Business

Ivette had spent her career solving complex problems in high-stakes environments. Engineering teaches you to look past surface symptoms and find root causes. It teaches you to build solutions that hold up over time, not just ones that look good on paper.

When she evaluated DOXA, she applied that same lens.

"What attracted me was not just the business model, but the purpose behind it," she explains. "Helping companies grow by giving them access to exceptional long-term global talent, while also creating meaningful career opportunities for professionals around the world."

That four-way win, as she describes it, was the deciding factor. Clients reduce costs and improve efficiency. Global professionals gain stable careers with real benefits. DOXA grows while staying aligned with its core values. And the franchisee builds something that creates lasting value for their family, their clients, and their community.

For someone who had rebuilt her career from scratch more than once, the stability and ethical foundation of that model were not abstract selling points. They were personal.

What the Launch Actually Looked Like

One of the most honest things Ivette shares about becoming a DOXA franchisee is what the launch process felt like compared to going it alone.

She had tried independent entrepreneurship before. She knew the cost of building brand assets, messaging, a website, and a professional presence from scratch while simultaneously trying to find clients and generate revenue. It is a grind that consumes months before you have a single conversation worth having.

DOXA gave her a different starting point. From day one, she had professional brand assets, launch templates, a website framework, a bio, a one-pager, LinkedIn materials, and photography that let her walk into her first networking event as a credible business owner.

"Instead of spending months trying to build the infrastructure, messaging, and brand presence from scratch, I was able to launch faster and focus my time on the work that matters most," she says. "Building relationships, understanding client needs, and introducing local businesses to a solution that can help them grow."

In a market like Frisco and Plano, where relationships move fast and first impressions travel, that head start matters.

Building Community in the Dallas Corridor

Ivette is active in local networking groups across the Plano and Frisco area every week. She shows up consistently, listens before she recommends, and approaches every conversation as a diagnostic, not a pitch.

Her engineering background informs this. She does not see global talent solutions as simply filling roles. She sees them as solving the underlying problem that is keeping a business from growing.

"When I work with clients, I take the time to understand their business, their goals, and the challenges that may be keeping them from growing," she says. "I bring the discipline and problem-solving mindset of an engineer, but I lead with empathy."

That combination, analytical rigor and genuine care, is what she says turns referrals into relationships. A business owner she met at a networking event followed up and brought her husband because they both wanted to explore whether global staffing could help their business. That kind of response, she notes, is not about the model alone. It is about the trust built in the conversation.

What She Wants Other Potential Franchisees to Know

Ivette came to DOXA through the Franchise Brokers Association having evaluated other models first. She knows what it feels like to sit across from a franchise opportunity and wonder if it is built to last, if the leadership has a real vision, if the values hold up past the sales conversation.

What convinced her was the combination of a recurring revenue model, a CEO with a clear direction for where the industry is headed, and a franchise system that puts franchisee success at the center rather than treating it as an afterthought.

"DOXA gave me a way to combine my business experience, my passion for helping people, and my desire to support local companies as they scale," she says.

She is building something in the Dallas corridor that she believes in, with the support of a system designed to help her succeed, and the freedom to lead with the values that have guided every chapter of her career.
